I am the lead developer of ReportsAnywhere, an open source reporting package, that has an object oriented data model, so that it can not only generate reports from relational databases or Csv files, but also from non-standard data sources like NoSQL Databases Object Databases or complex XML structures.
ReportAnywhere also has some innovations in its user interface and its page layout engine, that I want to explain.
This blog explains the design and architecture of ReportsAnywhere and examples of its use.
